Addressing council members and other guests at a recent Building Industry Bargaining Council event, Arnold Williams, Secretary for the Building Industry Bargaining Council (Cape of Good Hope), took the opportunity to announce the Council's record payout to the industry. "It is with great honour that I can announce that our Council has experienced a fantastic year; this year we are paying out a record amount of R107 million in holiday pay and bonuses. This is indicative of an increase in employer registrations as well as the number of employees receiving the compulsory benefits."
In addition to the record payout, the BIBC recapped that their fantastic year started when the Council resolved under tough economic conditions to purchase a building, which has now become 'home to the council'.
He concluded, addressing BIBC's management team saying, ""One of the greatest blessings in life is the privilege of working with a team like you. You are dedicated and you have a passion for what you do".
