Sick Leave - How do I claim for an employee who was sick?
The Employer completes the Sick Fund Claim via the eesi© portal under the Claims module.
The claim form and medical certificate/s are uploaded via the portal and current banking details are provided.
If banking details and all information provided are correct, the claim will be completed within 24hrs.
Please note that we are required by SARS to deduct tax for certain categories of employees, and we are required to provide SARS with a Tax Number for all claims paid. We cannot process a claim unless a valid tax number is provided.
The employee must have 90 daily contributions to qualify (current and previous year - by March members must have current contributions to qualify), so it is vital that you keep your contributions up to date.
