How to claim

Employers must lodge a sick fund claim on behalf of their employees directly to the BIBC.

How and when does payment occur?

Payments are only made via an electronic funds transfer (EFT), into the employees’ bank account.

Payment in respect of claims received before 10h30 will be transferred to the employees’ bank on the same day. Payment for claims received after 10h30 will be transferred on the next day.

If it is an FNB account, the money will be available on the same day, with other banks it could take up to a maximum of 2 days.
